AT 500 is the acronym of Aviation Tank 500. AT 500 is a 500 litres capacity fuel cistern designed for sport, commercial or private aviation that require fairly low fuel consumption and continuous transport. The whole tank has a MAM or GVW (Maximum Authorised Mass or Gross Vehicle Weight) lower than 750 Kg, so the driver only has to have the B driving license.

Single watertight independent compartment of 500 litres capacity.
3 inches diameter charging hole with security valve.
Inner diffuser to avoid the cascade effect (static electricity).
Two fork lift supports and one crane support to be lifted.

The use of AT 500 for companies or individuals set up in airfields or airports without refuelling service or just to make self fuel consumption without waiting on the apron fuel service is widely extended. Relying on the AT 500 as a travelling tank to supply fuel to aircrafts working in distant places from regular refuelling points easy access by car is also very common.
